This rugged and almost legendary game has been gaining momentum recently in the greater Wilmington area. New Hanover County is one of the few counties in North Carolina that offers lacrosse at most public middle and high schools. UNC-Wilmington has both men's and women's lacrosse club teams open to students, faculty and staff. Play is on the campus recreation fields in fall and spring; for information call the UNCW Coordinator of Sports Clubs at (910) 962-7758.  PW 12-29-06
