Island Club offers an array of venues to enjoy marvelous creations sure to
please any palate. The executive chef's seasonal menus include a vast
selection of seafood specialties, char-grilled steaks, pasta and
delectable desserts prepared by the on-site pastry chef. Regional seafood
and the freshest vegetables are hallmarks of the restaurant's cuisine. The
wine list is extensive and offers premium vintages to complement each
meal. On Wednesday nights homemade pizza is the feature, while on Thursday
you can experience the Land and Sea Menu, featuring local seafood and
succulent prime rib. Set in a newly renovated building reminiscent of
coastal New England, the elegant dining room is accented by an extensive
patio with a commanding ocean view. For those desiring a more relaxed
atmosphere, The Club Lounge offers a full bar, dance floor and walls of
windows enabling diners to continually observe and absorb island life.
Live entertainment in season is a lounge feature not to be missed.
Completing the dining options is The Grill. Light and airy with walls that
are windows to the magnificent views of the island's award-winning golf
course, this room is enhanced with a covered terrace for al fresco dining.
A temporary membership, which is included in accommodation rates for all
properties leased through Bald Head Island Limited, is required for Club
dining. Reservations are requested.

A deli and sandwich counter at the Maritime
Market grocery store offers well-prepared sandwiches, salads and hot foods.
Some offerings include gourmet salads, taco salad, rotisserie chicken,
stuffed Cornish game hens, meatloaf and wraps. There's also the Ice Cream
Shoppe serving cold treats, including sundaes, cones and shakes. The bright
and spacious market is located off Muscadine Wynd in the maritime forest
area of the island.

The River Pilot Cafe has the island's finest
view of the Cape Fear River and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a more
casual setting than the Club dining room. The menu emphasizes Southern
cuisine in its use of regional seafood, fresh vegetables, meats and daily
specials. The variety of offerings guarantees an enjoyable dining
experience. Enjoy a late-night menu and your favorite cocktail in the
adjoining River Pilot Lounge. In summer, the cafe serves the island's best
breakfasts. It's also a superb vantage from which to view stunning sunsets
while enjoying a meal or drink. The River Pilot is open daily for breakfast,
lunch and dinner. |
