The Brass Pelican is an old Topsail Island favorite for local residents and returning visitors. Their large outdoor back deck is a great place to spend a summer evening under the stars. The private club's membership fee is $5, and visitors can be signed in by a member. Entertainment is provided on Friday and Saturday nights with karaoke on Thursdays. Menu choices include deli sandwiches, appetizers and steamed seafood in the evening. There are also daily drink and food specials.

Crab Pot

This funky spot is popular with locals and folks who like beach music and shagging, the dance of the beach crowd. The "Shag Shack," as it's known, rocks all summer with beach bands, local DJs and shaker cans. Crab Pot has a casual screened-in dining room and bar. No one is a stranger here.

Gilligan's

Gilligan's is a private club with a membership fee of $5, though visitors may be signed in by a member for the evening. Gilligan's has a large dance floor and offers live entertainment Wednesday through Sunday during the summer. A shuttle service is always available and it's open daily year round.

Mainsail Restaurant

Looking for a place to enjoy drinks with friends? The Commodore Room above the Mainsail Restaurant offers a variety of specialty martinis, fine wine and spirits. The beautiful cherry hardwood bar is 40-feet long and is the perfect spot to sip a cool Topsail Lemonade. When the Commodore Room hosts live entertainment on the weekends, the dance floor can rock. The Commodore Room is open all summer.

Margarita's Bar & Grill

Get ready to shag because the DJs here spin beach music on weekends. Feel the urge to belt out a tune? Margarita's hosts karaoke nights every Wednesday and Thursday. If you work up an appetite singing and dancing, Margarita's dishes up the only late-night breakfast on the island, serving between 11 PM and 4 AM.

This bar has 5,000 square feet of fun, including a large dance floor, big screen TVs for big game and race days, walls of arcade games, pool tables, darts, DJs, Karaoke and bands. Enough said, Squeaky's has it all, including ABC permits. It is open every day at noon.
