Like the Southport-Oak Island area, the South Brunswick Islands are very much family oriented. You will find lines at the video stores, and lots of people on the beach after sunset. If you are looking for live entertainment, try the following.

With ocean views from every seat, the atmosphere at Paradise Cafe invites you to kick back and relax Jimmy Buffet style. Open for lunch and dinner almost year round, Paradise has daily specials to offer the freshest food available and a kids' menu to keep the little ones happy. Sit among the palm trees, tropical birds and local artwork hanging on melon-colored walls and enjoy appetizers, burgers, pizza or hot subs. Of course, there is local seafood as well. Be sure not to leave until you have enjoyed a Paradise Sunset, the house drink. And remember, Paradise has music on weeknights during the season — from country to beach music to pop.
