Nurses, Companions and HelpersDue to increasing demand for in-home care, the area has
seen a rise in the number of private businesses and not-for-profit
agencies offering in-home nursing care services, such as certified
nursing assistants (CNAs), LPNs, RNs, companions and other assistance.
As needs change and agencies grow, additional services may be added,
such as physical, occupational or speech therapy, medical social
services, equipment and supplies. For your convenience, we've compiled a
list of these services. Some companies in our list are more
comprehensive than others. The Insiders' Guide® does not
endorse any particular provider. Cape Fear Home Care,

Adult Day Services A welcoming, home-like setting and heaping measures of
old-fashioned tender loving care combine to make Coastal Adult Day
Services a unique place. The dedicated staff have created a relaxed
environment for their clients, many of whom suffer from memory
disorders. Caregivers and volunteers provide stimulation by encouraging
conversation, socialization and physical activity. Therapies include
art, dance, music, pets, reminiscence, puppetry, horticulture, field
trips and other appropriate forms of recreation. "Our family caring for
your family" is their motto, and they live up to it. The center has
convenient, flexible hours and a philosophy of going the extra mile for
their clients. Family Focus Groups meet regularly to give family members
