Zach Hanner is a graduate of the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a major in performance
studies. A former editor at citysearch.com, Zach has contributed to Durham’s
Independent Weekly, the Wilmington Star-News, the Myrtle
Beach Sun-News and a number of other music and entertainment-related
publications. A professional actor as well, Zach has worked in the
Wilmington and New York areas for the past 14 years, appearing in
Forrest Gump, The Patriot, Domestic Disturbance,
Black Knight and Runaway Jury as well as numerous commercial
and television projects. He writes and directs children’s theater for
Wilmington’s Journey Productions and is an active contributor to the
Cucalorus Film Festival. Ukulele player and front man for Wilmington’s
Hawaiian band Da Howlies, Zach also plays bass in the surf guitar band The
Noseriders. An avid surfer, both styles of music complement his love for the
ocean. Zach lives on the gorgeous Intracoastal Waterway with his wife,
Dagmar, and their son, Beck. Their dogs, Violet and Maestro, provide endless
entertainment and their bothersome cat, Veronica, does not.
