Several suites are available to fit a variety of conference and workshop needs. An indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi are off the second floor atop the dunes surrounded by a large sundeck. A flight of steps takes you onto the beach where volleyball is a popular pastime. Seasonal food and beverage services are available at the oceanfront bar adjacent to the pool. This seaside motel is an Outer Banks legend offering unique, individually designed accommodations the owners call Carolina Collection Rooms. Legend has it that original owner Tanya Young and a designer friend decided to do a theme room at the motel. Their ideas got a little out of hand, and they ended up selecting separate themes for each of the 43 rooms. There's the Carolina Party Room, Jonathan Seagull's Nest, and dozens more. The hotel has 107 rooms, most of them doubles, housed in three buildings. The oceanfront units each have a balcony or patio so you can see and hear the waves from your room. Cable TV with optional in-room movies, a small refrigerator, and a telephone are in each room. Ten units also offer a microwave, five have a fully equipped kitchen, and three include a hot tub. Coffeemakers and coffee are provided in all rooms. About half of the rooms are nonsmoking, and this inn offers wheelchair-accessible units.
