information about local businesses, the community, civic organizations
and volunteer opportunities. They also can tell newcomers how to become
a part of the Newcomers Club of New Bern. Sandie and Liza also visit
engaged women, families who have changed their residence, and families
with new babies.

Neuse River Basin is identified by signs at bridge crossings on highways
in eastern North Carolina. These signs are reminders of the numerous
sources and vast area that influences the waters of the Neuse River.
