Cheryl McMahon, owner and operator of Cedar Island Stables, calls this "the most beautiful place to ride on the planet." Cedar Island Stables offers beach rides on well-trained horses that provide an up-close look at the beautiful landscapes and seascapes of Cedar Island. One-hour rides with a guide cost $55 per person and cross the beautiful 1,000-foot river to the next island. One and half hour rides cost $85. Shorter rides of a half-hour are $35. Anyone older than 3 without fear of horses is welcome. Pony rides in a fenced area cost $1 per minute. Call ahead and make reservations. Cedar Island Stables is open year-round.TN 12-17-07
