preschoolers with centers for art and music, science, math and manipulatives.

kitchen and drama areas are designed for just that. The BEEPs playground was

large book selection. BEEPs prides itself on a low child to teacher ratio of

Child CareFees for day care vary and are usually based
on the child's age, the number of hours the child spends at the facility or
the number of children in the same family attending the facility. Many
child-care centers provide transportation to and from school (if needed),
summer programs and extended hours on weekends. Carteret County and the
State of North Carolina regulate day-care homes and day-care centers through
the issuance of registrations and licenses. Regulations call for all such
facilities to meet health and safety standards. In the case of nonsectarian
child-care institutions, standards for children's learning and play programs
must be met. For a complete list of regulated day-care homes and licensed
day-care centers, call the Carteret County Department of Social Services,
(252) 728-3181. |
