Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Clam Digger is a favorite of locals as well as visitors. You'll find fluffy omelets for breakfast along with French toast and other creative items. For lunch, enjoy a roast beef sandwich or cheeseburger or try a seafood creation. Dinner entrees include steaks and a variety of seafood, as well as pastas, chicken and pork. There is a special every evening — oysters on Monday, rib eye steak on Tuesday, three-way seafood combination on Wednesday, shrimp on Thursday, flounder on Friday, chicken Parmesan on Saturday, and steak and shrimp on Sunday. Locals have the schedule memorized, and many enjoy the advantage of the take-out service. Clam Digger has all ABC permits and a large selection of wines and beers. If you're looking for fine dining at the beach, head to Carlton's. This upscale restaurant offers delectable lunches and dinners. Dinner entrees include steaks, duck and local seafood. One of their specialties is an exceptional Maryland jumbo lump crab cake that's sure to become your favorite. The chocolate pudding cake and cheesecakes are Insiders' favorites. Next to the Salter Path Post Office, Frank and Clara's serves a variety of dinner choices that include fried or broiled seafood and steaks. Insider favorites are jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab meat, char-grilled rib eye or filet mignon, and flounder stuffed with your choice of crab and shrimp or scallops and oysters. Cheese and crackers are on the table to enjoy while you make your selections. Dinner entrées come with either a salad topped with homemade dressings or a cup of clam chowder or she crab soup; a choice of potato, rice or coleslaw; and hush puppies or rolls. Special entrees are available for senior citizens and children. If there is a wait, the upstairs lounge is a comfortable spot for a refreshment. Frank and Clara's is open year-round but open only on Friday and Saturday nights during the winter. Reservations are recommended.TN 03-24-08
