Down East

A drive Down East, particularly to Harkers Island and Cedar Island, will turn up several nice rental cottages/houses. Some are handled by real estate agencies and many are handled by the property owner. These rentals are popular and are booked year after year by the same people, so we suggest you make arrangements early. The Down East area offers a slower pace for vacationers. Don't look for a vacation that's full of brightly lit stores, bustling hotels or wild night spots. Plan on relaxing, spending time on the water, enjoying fresh seafood and taking ferry rides to nearby Cape Lookout National Seashore.TN 02-02-08
