The 36-room Inlet Inn opened in 1985 in the same
block of Front Street occupied by the original Inlet Inn of the
nineteenth century, which brought guests from across the state to bask
in the Beaufort sun. Today's inn, of similar design, is on the
waterfront and offers harbor-front rooms on the first and second floor.
These rooms have a king-size bed and sofa. Third-floor rooms overlooking
the water offer two queen beds and a wonderful window seat for viewing
Beaufort Inlet, the waterfront and beyond. Nestled in the heart of the
historic district, many rooms open onto private porches and offer bars,
refrigerators with ice makers, and built-in hair dryers. Six of the
first-floor rooms offer cozy fireplaces, and wireless Internet is
available on the premises and at nearby coffee shops. A continental
breakfast, served in the rooms, consists of muffins, bagels and juice.
Coffeemakers are provided in each room. A courtyard garden, the rooftop
Widow's Walk Lounge and an on-site meeting room are also available for
guests' use year round. Continue to
