Alpine Village is a secluded, tranquil resort located at 3,250
feet elevation in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. Located less than an hour's drive from
Asheville, Alpine Village is also close to some fine championship golf
courses. Nearest to us (in fact directly below us!) is the MOUNT MITCHELL
GOLF CLUB, a challenging 18-hole, par 72 course, open 7 days a week from
early April through Thanksgiving weekend.
Alpine Village guests pay a special discounted rate of $44 (greens & cart fees) Monday through Thursday and $55 Friday through Sunday and holidays. Or guests can get a 6-round card (greens fee only) for weekday play for $138. Add in the $15 cart fee and that's $38 per round total. Afternoon walking at Mount Mitchell is sometimes possible at the pro shop's discretion. Don't forget Alpine Village's fun GOLF SCRAMBLE usually played on Wednesday afternoons. check with our office for day and time. Another fine course is the GRASSY CREEK GOLF CLUB about 40 minutes away between Spruce Pine and the Blue Ridge Parkway on Route 226. Greens fees are $22 Monday-Thursday and $27 Friday-Sunday and holidays. Cart fees are $13. The course's phone is (828) 765-7436. REEMS CREEK GOLF CLUB is a nice championship course about a 50-minute drive from Alpine Village, and there are others too such as BLUE RIDGE COUNTRY CLUB north of Marion, CLEGHORN in Rutherfordton, and MOUNTAIN GLEN in Newland. Please check with our manager for directions and details.
